Q: How would you describe coworking to someone who doesn't know what coworking is?
Co-working give start-ups and small businesses all the advantages of Class A professional office space, but at a substantially lower cost. By sharing common areas with other business professionals, even the newest business can establish a professional presence.
Q. Why did you become a member of Waunakee Coworks?
I started my business in another co-working space in Madison. It was an excellent space for me. However, I was looking for a co-working space closer to home. I discovered Waunakee Coworks and was very impressed by the quality of the spaces and the professionalism of the owner, Jennifer with Hoege Consulting & Coaching.
Q: What do you see as the advantages of working from a coworking space?
Work/life balance is essential for everyone – especially small business owners or start-ups. If I was working at home, clearly dividing my work from personal time would be difficult. I look forward to coming to my office at Waunakee Coworks because it is a bright, open, airy space that is very inviting and conducive to my work.
Q: How does being a part of a coworking community help you with your business?
The members at Waunakee Coworks are engaged in a variety of business pursuits. It is always helpful to bounce ideas off other members. Individual businesspeople can become isolated working from home. It is good to be around others and share a sense of community.
Q: How does having a business address help you with your business?
A business address tells the world that you are for real. Operating from a residential address or post office box does not demonstrate the same level of professionalism and commitment that a business address provides. I believe customers and prospects take me more seriously because I have a business address.
